It has been a very long time, DA.  XD  While I've been posting a little art here and there, I have been decidedly absent from DA for quite a bit.  There's a lot of reasoning behind this but it's probably best not to go into it.

I am going to try and become more active around here once again, and I feel that I should maybe clear up a few things for those of you who might care:

Wind Spirits is now officially on hiatus.  I think it's probably obvious that it has been but as I never stated it, well, there it is.  What's happened is that as I was going along I realized that the story itself is no where near as polished as it needed to be, and that it was drifting into an area I was decidedly uncomfortable with.  So I'm reeling the work back into the script state to correct these problems before going any further.

There's also a second project I've mentioned a few places, more heavily upon my tumblr that is shaping up much, much faster than WS and is, imho, the better work at the moment.  I'm not going to attach any dates to it, but I do intend to post some progress shots and talk about it a little more openly here. The working title for this is "Thing" or "SaTH."

Another thing that's been bothering me is the state of my gallery here.  While a part of me likes to be able to go back the full ten years I've been on this site, a larger part of me dislikes the fact that my gallery rarely displays my best work in the randomized widgets and such on art displays.  Because of that, I'm going to go through and take out a lot of the older work once I finish backing things up.

So anyway, it's good to be back, and I look forward to talking to everyone again.

Annoying? Yes. Embarrassing? Of course it is. Necessary to talk down your bad art work? No. If anything, they need to be kept up for posterity sake just you can look back and see how far you've come.

Are there some photos of mine that I would like to take down? Hell yes. Would I? No. I need them to remind myself how much better I've gotten.
